Who is
FlO Fields?

How it Started...
That's me on the left, age 22 singing for BBC Radio 2's Friday Night is Music Night. But let's rewind...
I've been singing for as long as I can remember. By age 6 I was begging for lessons and began training where I was taught classically and told that any other singing style was dangerous for the developing voice. Later on it became clear that this simply isn't true, but I'm grateful for the classical training all the same as it gave me a strong vocal foundation. However, I was obsessed with Musical Theatre growing up and would sing it as much as I could get away with. This lead me to train at several theatre schools including Tring Park School for Performing Arts and then go on to get a degree in Musical Theatre at one of the leading schools: Arts Ed London. During my time there I was trained by some of the top vocal experts who specialised in various techniques including Estill Voice Training.
As a result my voice was totally reliable, virtually indestructible, versatile, I had a huge range and could sing pretty much anything I wanted- I was unstoppable! Only... I wasn't happy. I'd been working in the Musical Theatre industry for two years but had no idea who I was. I stepped out of it with no long term plan, only a commitment to authenticity. I barely sang for two years and I wasn't really sure if I would ever again... until...
I travelled to the Indian Himalayas, found myself surrounded by incredible musicians and that's when the love and creative freedom returned to music for me. Without the pressure and toxic environment I fell back into singing and all things music- learned new instruments and picked up violin again. I began writing music- something I NEVER thought I was capable of.
In this new environment and with the commitment to authenticity, I could find my own, unique voice. I had permission to explore all my sounds and sing with a freedom I had never had before.
So How can I help you release your unique voice?
I'm so grateful for the vast vocal training I can draw on when I'm teaching and yet- I also meet every person, where they're at in the moment. This isn't a 'one size fits all' approach. I'm aware that whilst a simple tweak in posture can make a HUGE difference, it's only half the story. There's so much more going on with the emotional/mental picture. After all, our voices are one of the main ways that we express emotion and often the tongue and neck muscles have become used to shutting it down. This is why I take an all angles/holistic approach. I'm not here for the vagueness of 'freeing your voice' without tangable steps. There are amazing, specific tools that we get to use AND let's address the limiting beliefs too, so you can experience a truly free voice.
I'm passionate about training you to to develop your own awareness of your voice so that eventually you can self assess/diagnose and essentially remedy yourself. This not only empowers you but creates more rapid transformations to get you where you desire to be.
